EDUCATION, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT,
TRAINING AND JOB PLACEMENT

The Foundation's Education, Economic Development, Training and
Job Placement programs are implemented via its African Girls Education
and Mentoring initiative -- A GEM … Because Every Girl and
Every Woman is A GEM.
The programs work with girls’ secondary schools to develop access to
supplemental education that match employment possibilities; and facilitates opportunities
for those seeking access to higher education. It supports business and
agricultural development opportunities for rural women and girls. Strong and
active support from mentors is essential.
Scholarships: Donate financial support to young women and girls to
continue education in secondary schools and institutes of higher education.
Arts and Crafts Marketing: Provide advisory services and other support to
help in developing markets for arts and crafts produced by participants.
Leadership Training: Enhance speech-making skills and presentations;
strengthen leadership skills; build character and self-esteem; work in groups
and develop team-building skills.
Preventive Health Education: Disseminate information and financial
assistance, speakers/advisors on practical preventive health issues such as:
health and nutrition programs, HIV/AIDS prevention, malaria prevention, sports
for girls and women and its relation to health and well-being.
